I'm trying out new ways to do silhouettes, bigger paper, colors, and layers. This one has 4 layers :D I really like how it turned out!:la:

Overall this probably took about 10 hours, (in which I watched 9 episodes of Once Upon a Time on netflix :giggle:)

Used a movie promo picture as referance

You really don't make it that easy for me to decide what to comment on in your gallery O.O . These silhouettes you do are amazing! I wish I was this talented with putting layers together like this, but alas... I must stick with one piece of paper and a simple pencil.

Question; have you ever seen The Adventures of Prince Achmed?

It's considered to be the oldest surviving animated film we have and it was made in Germany using silhouette animation. It's a beautiful movie. It came on Turner Classic Movies one night and was so inspired by it. The woman who made it definitely was very artistic and creative with how she did the animation and the silhouette art for it. Wikipedia can explain it better than I can; [link]

But I was just wondering if you had seen it :) . Your lovely art reminded me of it.

Beautiful!! I like how you did the 'fading' to the background. It really creates a sense of depth.
